Support for Undocumented Students

We will guide you through this new journey. Follow the steps if you want to become part of the Cougar Family!


CASHE is a student-led, leadership conference that targets students of Latino descent. Applications open in Fall 2018.


Washington State offers financial aid programs to students who aren’t eligible for federal financial aid because of immigration status. These students still need to meet other program requirements. 

3. Admissions

Fill out freshman or transfer application (Due Jan. 31st). Send transcript and official SAT or Act scores to WSU. Send Running Start college credit by asking the college to send a transcript to WSU.

4. Future Cougars Embracing Diversity Scholarship

Explore campus, learn about your academic area of interest, get your questions answered, and soak up the friendly Cougar spirit, in addition to earning a $1000 renewable scholarship! Application opens Fall 2017

5. Student Financial Services

Fill out general scholarship application (Due Jan. 31st). Fill out WASFA (Open Oct. 1st/Due Jan. 31) . Submit Affidavit (if you are HB 1079) and copy of working permit (if DACA). Submit College Bound certification (if applicable)

6. La Bienvenida

(May 19-20, 2018) Latino/a parent visitation program which offers a special HB 1079 information track where we will be working one-on-one with undocumented students on their financial aid and housing options.

7. Smart Start

A program for first generation students at WSU that provides additional transitional support and resources during the first college year. Apply by April 1.

8. Alive!

Alive! is a two and a half day program offered during the summer months designed to prepare you for the start of classes in the fall. Whether you're a freshman, transfer student, or parent, you'll find things to interest and excite you. All new students (transfer and freshman) are required to attend an orientation/registration program in order to enroll for the fall semester.

9. Conexion

CONEXION is a reception to welcome new multicultural students to the Cougar Family. Make sure to check out the Crimson Group when you are there.
